Watercolor Wings and Fluttering – PPA 257

It’s another Sketch Challenge from the Pals Paper Arts.  I tried to go pretty  Clean and Simple with this one.

PPA257

Stamp Set – Watercolor Wings
Ink – Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Watermelon Wonder
Cardstock – Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Schoolhouse DSP
Accessories – Fluttering Embossing Folder, Butterflies Thinlits, Greetings Thinlits,  2-1/2″ Circle Punch, Circles Collection Framelits, Big Shot,  Magnetic Platform, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Permanent Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen

Stamping Tip:  When I used the Watermelon Wonder ink on the butterfly, I stamped it off on scrap paper first so the butterfly image had a softer, more watercolor look.  The Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie ink were used without stamping off on scrap paper first.

  1. Deb, I love the stamp technique you used to soften the color on the butterfly. I too love using that technique on dark colors to change the color. Great for you to join the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week.

  2. Beautiful! The colors and textures really pop on this card. I love your interpretation of this sketch. Thanks for playing along with this week’s PPA sketch challenge.

  3. I love your CAS take on the sketch. Adding the butterfly embossing to the background really helped bring the whole design together! Holy moly! How did I miss that we have a butterfly embossing folder? Guess that’s another thing to add to the wishlist! Thanks for playing with PPA this week!
