Inspired by my downline member, Cathy Schroeckenthaler to make this card box.
Stamp Set – Winter Wishes
Cardstock – Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Smoky Slate, White, Merry Moments DSP
Ink – Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Smokey Slate
Accessories – Lucky Stars Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Simply Scored, Simply Scored Diagonal Plate, Paper Snips (especially for cutting out the skates by hand), Real Red & Garden Green 1/8″ Striped Ribbon, Tear & Tape Adhesive. Snail Adhesive, Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Finished dimensions are 6-3/8″ 4-7/8″ X 1-3/8″ . Start with an 11″ X 11″ piece of cardstock and the Diagonal Plate on the Simply Scored Board. Score at 3-1/2″ and 5-1/2″. Turn 90 degrees and score at 4-1/2″ and 6-1/2″. Turn 90 degrees and score at 3-1/2″ and 5-1/2″. Turn 90 degrees one last time and score at 4-1/2″ and 6-1/2″.
Cut out the triangles in the corners and fold into a box. Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to secure sides like you would for an envelope. For this one, I just tucked the flap into the back but you can tie with a ribbon or make a belly band.
**Stamping Tip: It’s easier to decorate the front panel if you do it before you form the box by adhering the side flaps with the Tear & Tape Adhesive.
A picture is worth a 1000 words……(make that 7 pictures)
This is the time to decorate that front panel. It really is so much easier to decorate when the cardstock is able to lay flat.
It’s not too early to start thinking about Christmas gifts. This box could be filled with All Occasion Cards and any teacher, neighbor, co-worker, caregiver, Pastor, friend, etc. would love to receive it. Add some stamps and a decorated pen for an extra flair! Of course you can change up the Designer Series Paper and it could easily become a birthday gift for someone dear to you.

Happy Stamping!
