Making Cards with my Grandkids!

My son and his family were in town visiting this weekend.  Right after breakfast the kids asked if they could make some cards.

“Why, yes – Grandma Debbie would LOVE to do that with you!”  So off we went to my corner of the sunroom, which Jack named “Grandma’s Workshop” years ago; and the name stuck.

I pulled out some card kits that were left over from prior classes to get started.  Then we grabbed some ink and stamp sets and the kids went to town.

Sorry you're sick

Maddie made this card using a design from my upcoming event – “Kids Making Cards for Kids”

Present for Maddie

Maddie made this Christmas card. Notice the “kiss” technique used to create plaid gift wrap. And she put a tag with her name on it so everyone would know that the present is for Maddie. 🙂

Jack made this card and handwrote the sentiment instead of using a stamp. Kids do the darndest things!

  1. How blessed you are to have your grandkids close by and that they want to craft with you! I can see hey have the amazing artistic ability just like their grandma too. Some great cards!

    • Thanks for taking time to leave a comment. I am blessed that my grandkids like spending time with me as much as I love spending time with them; that they like to stamp with me is just a bonus. Kids are uninhibited and become very creative with just a few directions. And they are so proud of what they make and can’t wait to give it to someone! They do not hoard their creations at all.
