Photo Journey of Stamp Camp

On October 1st we celebrated World Card Making Day by hosting a Stamp Camp.  It was a huge success!  Below I am standing with Diane Simonick next to the sign she made – it directs attendees to the Conference Room where the event was held.

We used the color palette from the Paisleys & Posies Designer Series Paper for out event decorations.

We did have assigned seating to make sure that friends who signed up would be able to sit together.  Each person received some treats from us.

Here is a close up of the box.  It was filled with candy, a sheet of Enamel Shapes, Door Prize Form, and my business card, of course!

This Kraft Box was stamped on the sides with Versamark and the Paisleys & Posies stamp set.  The top of the box was decorated with the following items:

Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper (love the Night of Navy/Copper Foil  sheet)
Copper Foil Sheets
Copper Metallic Thread
Paisley Framelits Dies
Pearl Embellishment

The water bottle was decorated using the Here’s to Cheers stamp set and Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies.  Save 10% when you purchase both items using the bundle item #.

This banner was made with a project kit from a couple of years ago.  The “CREATE” sentiment is timeless and I am able to use this banner at different events.

Below you can see the project boxes lined up – just waiting for people to come and start making cards.  Attendees took a box and worked on that project with other people sitting at their table.

When they completed the project they returned the box and selected another one.

The boxes were numbered so people could keep track of the boxes they had already done and knew which ones they still had to do.  Look how busy everyone is while they are stamping together.

No event would be complete without treats!  We asked people to bring a snack to share and boy did they ever!

We had a variety of sweet, salty and healthy snacks to choose from.

See the chocolate covered strawberries in the lower right hand corner in the photo below?
They were especially yummy!!

We didn’t get any individual photos of people at the event.  Let me tell you….there were LOTS of smiles.  Halfway through the event, people told us they were having SO MUCH FUN and asked when we would do it again.  That’s when Diane and I knew our first Stamp Camp was a success.

Unfortunately we missed getting  photos during Bingo or of the people who won prize patrol.

I hope you enjoyed this photo journey of World Card Making Day Stamp Camp.
We had to turn people down for this event because seating was limited, so we will be looking for a larger venue for the next  time.

And… I don’t think people will wait until the last minute to sign up next time – they won’t take a chance  on missing out on securing a seat!

Happy Stamping!
Deb

Thank you Deb and Diane for hosting such a wonderful Card Stamp Camp. I enjoyed using all of the techniques. Some which I haven’t used in years. Thanks for a great time and can’t wait for the next Stamp Camp.

    • Thanks for taking time to comment Ronnie! We are thrilled that you had such a great time! So did we – it’s gratifying to know that everyone enjoyed the event. And nice to know that you were able to brush up on some techniques – for some it was the first time stamping, so everything was new to them!
