Seaside Notions with Watercolor Wash

I hope you’ve had a great Christmas holiday – we’ve been busy with friends and now are looking forward to New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day celebrations.  It’s a busy life when adults have time to play together!

I have to admit that I’m happy to be done with Christmas cards for a while.  Since we spend time in Florida, I knew I would love the Seaside Notions stamp set the first time I saw it. Plus – I’ve always liked seahorses!

Stamp Set – Seaside Notions
Cardstock – Coastal Cabana, Watercolor Paper
Ink – Momento, Coastal Cabana, Blackberry Bliss
Accessories – Aquapainter, Crumbcake & Pool Party Stampin’ Blend Markers, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive

Create the watercolor wash background using the Aquapainter and Coastal Cabana ink.

  • Use the Aquapainter to place water where you want the ink to go  (ink will follow water)
  •  Then use the Aquapainter to paint the Coastal Cabana ink on the Watercolor Paper
  •  I start with diluted ink – you can add more color by adding more ink, but it is hard to lighten the color once it is applied

The seahorse and sand dollar were fussy cut with the Paper Snips.  This little gem allows me to do precision cutting, even in small areas.  If you don’t have one, you are missing out on a great tool!

There is still time to take advantage of the Year End Closeout Sale.  Grab your favorite items from the Holiday Catalog – most of the items are only available until Jan. 2, 2020.  FREE GIFT from me with every online order!

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Stamping!
