Today is my daughter’s birthday! Happy Birthday, Anne! I made her a “Card in a Box” using the Whale of a Time Suite of Products. My cards are usually more clean and simple but once in a while I enjoy creating something that is a bit over the top.
Many of the things you see popping out of the box below were hand cut (fussy cut) from the patterned paper using my Paper Snips. I love that little scissors because it has a fine tip which makes it easy to cut around detailed images like the jellyfish, sea turtle and little seahorse. And at only $10.00, it is a tool everyone should have. Add one to your next order!
The whale was actually punched out of the patterned paper using the Whale Builder Punch. It’s nice that the punch not only punches out stamped images of the whale, but also whale images on the beautiful paper!

As you probably know if you follow my blog, Anne is a Marine Biologist so the Whale of a Time is the perfect Suite of Products to use! She lives across the country from me and I wanted to send her something that she might leave on display for a while even after her birthday is over!
I wanted to put a white panel on the back of the card so I had a place to write a little note to Anne. But then I was inspired to create this scene on the Whisper White panel while still leaving room to sign the card.
