I just realized that I forgot to post my Veteran’s Day Cards today. (our son was visiting for a week & just went home yesterday). Sending out a huge thank you to all who served our country, including my husband, my son, & my father!
Our Monday card making group got together a couple of weeks ago & made cards to put on meal trays at the local Veteran’s Home on Veteran’s Day. Here is one of the cards that I created.
Here are the other cards I made; we wanted to honor over 100 veterans at the home. Some of the stamps I used were not from Stampin’ Up! But I did use Real Red, Night of Navy, & Basic White cardstock. Love the true red, white, & blue.
And here is a photo of all of the cards that were made by the group.
Veterans Day (originally known as Armistice Day) is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces. Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. At the urging of major U.S. veteran organizations, Armistice Day was renamed Veterans Day in 1954.
God Bless the USA!
