The July 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit (The Adventure Begins) is one of my favorites because of the cute camper image included on some of the card bases.  My husband & I have been camping for years and when we gave up our tent for a travel trailer, I was happy indeed.

This original Paper Pumpkin kit included supplies to create 12 cards.  Here’s a framed art project I made instead of assembling one of the cards as intended.  The 6″ x 6″ shadow box frame came from Michael’s.  All other supplies are from Stampin’ Up!

Old Fashioned Birthday

Campology Tuck Away Z-fold card

How do you spend time off in the summer?  Our summer getaways include camping.  While we could stay home and enjoy our secluded backyard, my husband finds it hard to sit still.  When he asks me to sit on the deck with him, that lasts only about 5-10 minutes and he gets up because he sees some weeds that need to be pulled, a shrub that needs to be trimmed, a birdfeeder that needs to be filled…you get the idea.

When we are camping, there are none of those distractions and it’s easier to relax and enjoy our time together.  Sometimes it includes sitting by the beach, around the campfire, or at the table playing a game.  Other times you will find us biking, hiking or canoeing.  Life is good.

Today’s card features the Campology stamp set.  While we gave up our tent for a travel trailer years ago, the tent in this stamp set draws me in.  This card has a surprise fun fold – a tuck away z-fold – inspired by fellow demonstrator, Rachel Tessman.
