Painted Harvest Home Decor Plaque

Stampin-Up-Painted-Harvest-Home-Decor-10-x-10-Wood-Plaque-Debra-SImonis-Stampinup.jpg

Stamp Set – Painted Harvest
Ink – Crushed Curry, Early Expresso, Old Olive
Cardstock – Whisper White
Accessories – Leaf Punch, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Sponge, Tombow Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals, 10″ x 10″ Wood Plaque, Sunflower Folk Art Paint, Paint Brush

First I painted the wood plaque using the Folk Art paint.  After it dried, I sponged the edges of the plaque using Early Espresso ink.

Next step was to stamp the flowers, leaves, and sentiment on Whisper White cardstock and the plaque.  I found that I needed to stamp the flowers several times on the plaque.

The flowers on the cardstock were fussy cut using the Paper Snips and the leaves were punched out using the Leaf Punch.  The leaves were adhered using the Tombow glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to adhere the sunflowers.

I still want to seal the plaque so I can put it outside on my porch.  I can’t wait to make a different home decor piece using the second wood plaque that I purchased!

I’d love to see a home decor project that you create.  Email me a photo: deb@debsimonis.com

Wood Textures Masculine Birthday Card

Today is the last day of the Online Extravaganza.  Save up to 40% on select products.

Tomorrow is the day you’ve been waiting for,   Stampin’ Up! is offering FREE SHIPPING on all orders for CYBER MONDAY, November 27th – 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM (MT) .  No minimum order required!

Most stampers struggle making masculine cards.  I hope the card below inspires you.  This one came together pretty quickly for me, though.

Change the designer series paper and use the same layout to get a completely different look. Create a card suitable for a woman or a child by using different papers!

I kept this card clean and simple but if I were going to make a female version of this card, I’m pretty sure I would add some bling!  Rhinestones, pearls, or enamel shapes would all be perfect.

A full list of supplies used and measurements for each layer of this card is included in the tutorial below.
