One of my customers showed me a photo of a screen card and asked how to make it.  I had never made a screen card before but she inspired me to try my hand at one.  I found out that they are easy to make and a new way to use my Decorative Label Punch.  This card turned out so well,  that it will be featured at my card classes next month.  My customers are going to love it!

Did you know that you can sign up to attend one of my card classes on-line?  Check out the Events tab above and it will take you to my Calendar where you can see my upcoming classes and RSVP if you  are able to attend.

Adventure Awaits for a Special Soldier

Navy100thBday

Stamp Set – Adventure Awaits
Ink – Real Red
Cardstock – Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White, Adventure Bound DSP Paper Stack
Accessories – Circles Collection Framelits, Regals Candy Dots

I plan to send this card to recognize a WWII Veteran on his 100th birthday.   Seaman 1st Class James Ralph was born on 15 June, 1915. He served aboard the USS Swenning in 1945 in the Pacific Theater and after the war was on an LSD Boat out of NAB Little Creek, VA.  He was a Radioman and could Morse Code 28 words per minute.  This veteran’s neighbor/friend started a campaign soliciting cards hoping to make it the best birthday ever.

And while Memorial Day is a day to remember soldiers who lost their lives while defending our country, for me it seems a perfect day to remember a soldier who will soon be celebrating his 100th birthday!

Please take time among the Holiday Festivities to remember the reason we celebrate Memorial Day.  For all of those soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice – we have not forgotten.

Sheltering Tree

Stamp Set – Sheltering Tree
Ink – Early Espresso, Strawberry Slush, Wild Wasabi, Smoky Slate
Cardstock – Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper
Accessories – Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Stampin’ Dimensionals

This card was made earlier this spring and I think  I cased this card from another demonstrator.  I don’t remember who inspired me, but if anyone recognizes the original designer, please let me know and I will update this post.

We made another version of this design at one of my card classes and substituted the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack instead of the heart shape.  This stamp set has been a popular one; so glad it carried over into the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog.
