A Card, a Note Pad, and a PPA Color Challenge

PPA268 card

What do you think of this week’s color combo for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge?  I love it!  A little bit of summer with the Pool Party and the hint of fall with Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango.  The leaves haven’t started to turn colors yet here in central Wisconsin, but it won’t be long.  The nights are getting cooler and you can feel fall in the air these past few days.

Card Recipe

Stamp Set – Six-Sided Sampler (save 15% when you purchase the stamp set and hexagon punch as a bundle)
Cardstock – Pool Party, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
Ink – Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango
Accessories – Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Hexagon Punch, Cherry on Top Designer Washi Tape, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive

I like how the hexagons coordinate with the stamp set, embossing folder and punch.  Brings it all together without being too matchy-matchy.  And the design on the washi tape is a subtle contrast.  More hexagons here would have been too many.PPA267

My first  project for the challenge was actually this decorated note pad.  But it begged to have a card to go along with this gift so I made the card and then decided to make that my feature.

PPA268 note padLast Chance:  Today is the last day to take advantage of the 50% off the first 2 months for new Paper Pumpkin subscribers.  I love my monthly Paper Pumpkin kits.  Not only do I get a thrill when I see the pretty red box in my mailbox, but I can sit down and make a project without any prep or planning.

Here’s video of a past Paper Pumpkin kit so you can see what it’s all about.

These kits are great for beginning stampers.  Build your collection of exclusive stamps with these kits.  And collect different colored ink spots every month.  Colors are not repeated within a 12 month period!  And there is no other way to get the colored ink spots.  Use these kits as a ready to go stamping project for your kids, grandkids or to stamp with friends.   Check out Paper Pumpkin projects on Pinterest.
