Shaker Frame Photo Tutorial

Last week, I had a request for a tutorial on how to make a Shaker Frame Card.  So…. I made another shaker card yesterday and took photos of each step as I was creating the Shaker Frame.

Layering Squares for Shaker Card

Layering Squares Framelits used to create frame.

Be sure to skip at least one size framelit so your frame is wide enough.
(you don’t want the adhesive strips to show from behind the frame)

Frame is ready.

I used the Layering Squares Framelits but you can also use Circles or Ovals.
Just be sure to use Framelits that are 2 sizes apart.

Adhere Window Sheet

I used Snail Adhesive to adhere Window Sheet to back of frame.

Don’t flip your frame over yet.  Add the Foam Adhesive first.

Foam Strips on back of Window Sheet

Foam Adhesive Strips added to back side of Window Sheet/Frame.

The Adhesive Strips will be available in the 2016-2017 Annual Stampin’ Catalog starting June 1st.

Add Shaker material on stamped image

Place glitter and sequins on stamped image.

Make sure shaker material isn’t too close to the edge.
If anything gets between the Adhesive Strip and the stamped image  the glitter/sequins might fall out.

Place Frame over image

Remove paper backing from Adhesive Strips and gently place frame on top of stamped image.

If everything is in the right place, your shaker material will stay put!  🙂

Now, the Shaker Frame is ready to be added to a project.  Below you can see the card I created with my Shaker Frame.

See my original blog post  for list of products used on this card.

Give it a try  – you can even add a “shaker element” to your scrapbook pages.  I think it would be especially neat to use sand  from your beach vacation in a shaker frame!  Need stamping/scrabpbooking supplies?  Shop On-Line here.  I’d love to have your business!
