Many of my readers know that my daughter is a Marine Biologist and that she has lived near the coast of California for many years now. You may not know that Anne also loves her Wisconsin roots – the woods, trees, and forests.
I created this “Card in a Box” for her birthday, today, to celebrate her love of hiking in the mountains. This card is for my daughter but as you can tell, it is a great masculine card too!
Stamp Set – Rooted in Nature, Waterfront, Beautiful Bouquet
Cardstock – Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Mint Macaron, Tranquil Tide & Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper (retired)
Ink – Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Mint Macaron, Shaded Spruce
Accessories – Nature’s Roots Dies, Circle Punches, Linen Thread, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive
The last thing I did was to add the bird from the Sailing Home stamp set. On a spring break trip, my husband kept stopping to take sunset photos and always tried to capture a bird in the scene. That has become a joke between us, that no photo is complete without the bird!
Close up photos of the side and back panels can be found below.
The sentiment on the side panel below is from a retired stamp set. I stamped the sentiment twice in different colors of ink. Then I was able to cut out the word “happy” and use a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional to pop it up and give the sentiment dimension.
The panel on the back is ready for me to sign. (sentiment is from retired stamp set “Picture Perfect”.

I love your card and know your daughter will too. Thanks for sharing. What set did the sentiment “May every part of your birthday have happy in it” come from? It is a great sentiment and I think I have it but can’t find it. Maybe not SU? That would direct me to the correct box 🙂
That sentiment came from a Stampin’ Up! stamp set called “Full of Life”; that stamp set has been retired for some time, but I still like to use it occasionally.
