Here is a card I created to send my husband for his Never Forgotten Honor Flight trip on Sept. 2, 2019. On the flight home from Washington DC, the veterans will have “mail call” much like they did when they were active duty. (address can be found below)
Stamp Set – none used (say what? – see stamping tip below)
Cardstock – Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink – Real Red
Accessories – Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder, Subtle Embossing Folder, sequins (retired), Take your Pick Tool, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Snail Adhesive
Stamping Tip: I used the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder as the stamp for this card.
- Ink up the embossing folder
- Insert Whisper White cardstock
- Run embossing folder through Big Shot
Look closely; the Night of Navy cardstock was embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder before I adhered the white stars. The Take Your Pick Tool delivered! I used the tacky putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool to easily pick up the stars from an assortment of sequins. The sequins were adhered to the card with a dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
If you are inspired to send my husband a card, letter, postcard, etc. it needs to be mailed no later than August 23rd. “Mail Call” is a surprise, so if you know my husband personally, please don’t mention it to him.
