Beautiful Day

On Tuesday, at our weekly card class, I helped fellow Demonstrator, Diana Buckingham teach the class.  Here is one of the cards she designed.

The focal die cut from the Eastern Medallions Thinlits and the Detailed Trio Punch corners made for one elegant looking card!  Change the sentiment and this card design is suitable for many different occasions.

Create a Unique Multicolored Background

I love my computer….MOST of the time.  Yesterdya I was trying to send an email to someone who had requested information about my Coastal Framed Art Project.   My computer froze up and when I was able to restart it, the email from that person had vanished.

If memory serves me correctly, the name of the person is “Kay White” or some version of that.  Of course that could be completely wrong so if  anyone contacted me this week about the Coastal Framed Art project, please email me again.  I don’t want you to think that you don’t matter, because you do!

I hope to locate the person so I can pass on the information she requested.

Now….for today’s project.

Cardstock – Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink – Momento Black, Soft Suede
Accessories – Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze Stampin’ Write Markers, Stampin’ Spritzer, Acrylic Block, Linen Thread, Darling Label Punch Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive

Stamping Tips for Creating the Background:

The background was created by coloring on the acrylic block with each marker color.  I colored each marker color on a size E Acrylic Block.

The colors were overlapped as little as possible without leaving any blank space between the colors.

Then I spritzed the block lightly with water and stamped the Acrylic Block directly onto the Whisper White cardstock.

Set the cardstock aside to dry, or use Heat Tool to help speed up the drying time.

Once the cardstock is dry, stamp the focal image of the pheasants over the top of the color blocking using the Momento Black ink.

Use different color combinations of your markers to create a unique backgrounds for your next project.
