“Softly Falling” Snow

Have you started thinking about designs for your Holiday cards?  Some of my customers have, so I decided to showcase the Winter Wishes stamp set when I created my card for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge this week.

PPA 270 Oct. 1

It’s not that I am anxious for winter to arrive….far from it!  But I do like the images in this stamp set – don’t they have a vintage feel?

PPA270 002

Stamp Set – Winter Wishes
Cardstock – Always Artichoke, Blackberry Bliss, Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Ink – Always Artichoke, Blackberry Bliss
Accessories – Versamark, Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Tags & Labels Framelits, Magnetic Platform, Updated Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin’ Pierce Mat, Paper Snips, 1/8″ Mini Brads, Linen Thread, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Fine Tip Glue Pen

Stamping Tips:

***The pine boughs were stamped on both Always Artichoke and Whisper White Cardstock; then fussy cut with the super sharp Paper Snips and layered on top of each other to create dimension.

***After stamping the sentiment, it was cut with the Tags & Labels Framelit.  First cutting the top of the 1-1/4″ strip of Whisper White and then the framelit was moved to cut the bottom edge of the strip.

“Skating By” Swap Card

This is one of the designs I made for the Card Swap at the World Card Making Day Event I am attending in Atlanta, Georgia.  It is a hands on event where Stampin’ Up! demonstrators will share stamping and business tips.  I’ll be posting photos of the event and projects we make, both here on my blog and on my Facebook page, Deb’s Stampin’ Grounds.
Atlanta Swap Skating By

Stamp Set – Skating By
Cardstock – Garden Green, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Ink – Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Night of Navy
Accessories – Aqua Painters, Brick Wall Embossing Folder, 2″ Circle Punch, Metallics Sequin Assortment, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

****Stamping Tip:  What should a stamper do when you can’t find a designer series paper for your project?  Make your own of course!  I used stamps from the Skating By stamp set to create my own designer series paper which you can see on the left side of my card.
