Looking for a little tropical hideway?  You’ve come to the right place!  This week I’ll be featuring some fun cards & projects to chase the winter blues away.

Stamp Set – Tropical Hideaway, Peaceful Moments
Ink – Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Shaded Spruce, Soft Seafoam
Cardstock – Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Basic White
Accessories – Double Oval Punch, Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stampin’ Seal

Here is how I created the strips of multi-colored leaves:

  • Ink the Tropical Hideaway background stamp in Granny Apple Green
  • Use the corner of the Shaded Spruce ink pad to tap ink randomly over the Tropical Hideaway stamp
  • Stamp image on a 3-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock
  • With the 3-3/4″ along top of your Paper Trimmer, cut 3 strips of 1-1/4″
  • Layer the strips on Shaded Spruce cardstock cut at 1-1/2″ x 3-3/4″

Soft Sea Foam card base 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ – Score at 4-1/4″
Bermuda Bay Mat Layer 5-1/4″ x 4″

Country Bouquet

Here is a card we created at my card class today.  It was the first class I’ve taught since having surgery on my hand in December.  So good to be back with stamping friends!

This card was easy-peasy because the heart & leaves were punched from designer series paper!  Some people opted to use a Valentine sentiment from the Country Bouquet stamp set instead of a happy birthday greeting.
