Happy Birthday, Jessalyn!

Happy Birthday to my Christmas baby!  Jessalyn Simonis turns 17 today – where has the time gone?  Can’t wait to share in some adventures with her.  I know she loves the outdoors so I used the Greatest Journey Bundle from the upcoming January to June Mini Catalog.

Stampin’ Up! has named stamp sets & dies the same in the new catalog release. So much easier to find stamp sets & coordinating dies when they have the same name!

This bundle will be great for creating cards & projects for the outdoor enthusiast in your life!  Great addition for masculine themed cards, too!  Below you can see the inside view of the card.

Happy Birthday, Jessalyn!  Enjoy this start of another 365 day journey around the sun!  This last year included some big changes in our lives – selling our home in Stevens Point and building a new home in North Port, FL which should be finished sometime this spring.  We hope to move in so we have time for our summer trip taking the camper to Yellowstone & then Alaska!

Merry Christmas!

Have you ever received a handcrafted card that was just too beautiful to throw away?  That happened to me this week.  So I turned it into a home decor piece that I can use year after year.

Below you can see the original card.  I trimmed it down and mounted it on Real Red cardstock.  The sentiment was cropped by using a punch.

I attached it in a small wood shadow box that I had on hand and hung it on the starfish hook by our front door.

May God Bless You
this Christmas Season.

May he bring Joy + Comfort + Peace
to you & your family!

Merry Christmas from my home to yours!

More Christmas Cards from Friends!

Here are some more handcrafted Christmas cards I’ve received this season.  My hope is that you will be inspired in some way.  Maybe you will be inspired by the layout of the card, a color combination that was used, a technique, or a new embellishment, die, or embossing folder.

Try something new in your papercrafting.  Maybe you ususally create simple cards; try to make a stepped up version.  Do you ususally create over the top cards?  Try your hand at something “clean & simple”.

In the card below, I’m inspired by the angled cut and plan to use that in an upcoming card soon.

Although these cards have Christmas sentiments, in most cases the card could be used for another occasion by changing the sentiment.  You might want to change the color combination to give the card a completely different look for a spring or fall occasion.
