Craft Room Storage to Avoid Clutter

Does your work space ever look like this?  I took this photo after a marathon stamping session.  I find it hard to be creative amongst so much clutter.

Desk Before
The next time I went into my stamping area to work, I had to take time to create a clean slate, so to speak.   Here is my work space before I started my next project.

And here is a photo of that same space after I completed the project.  Now I just have to train myself to clean up between projects so my table doesn’t look like the first photo above when I get done stamping!  Easier said than done.

Desk After One Project
In order to be organized, you need a place to keep everything.  I put my ink pads and punches in wooden spinner racks which were made for me several years ago by Sue Nagel in Minnesota.  While I was looking for her website, I found that she passed away in November, 2014 at the young age of 61!  So sad.

A great alternate storage system can be found at Stamp-N-Storage.  They have storage for ink pads, punches, ribbon and more!

Another thing I have in my stamping area is this cart by Ikea, but I purchased this drawer unit in white.  Love that it is on wheels so I can move it around.

Take time to organize your stamping area.  Get rid of things you are no longer using; it helps to keep your space streamlined.  Then you will be able to locate things more easily and might even have more room for new stamping products!  So many fun new things in the new Annual Catalog.  Shop on-line here.

Watch for an upcoming post which shows how my craft room is personalized.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Stamping!
