Beautiful You Shaker Card

Last week at my card classes we made Shaker Cards.   After the class, I thought about how much I like Shaker Cards but don’t make them very often.

So…the next day, I created this card.

I made this card especially for my granddaughter’s birthday later this month.  She is a dancer, LOVES the color purple, and will be turning 10.  Can’t wait to “see”, or at least hear about, her response.

Notice the Highland Heather layer on top of the card base.  Directions for how I created it are include in this post, below the list of supplies used on the card.

Stamp Set – Beautiful You, Tropical Chic
Cardstock – Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink – Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories – Foam Brayer, Aquapainter, Window Sheet,  Sequins, Tropical Thinlits, Animal Friends Thinlits Dies, Glitter Enamel Dots, Ivory, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, & Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends, Foam Adhesive Strips, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive

Create Your Own Background Paper

1. Apply Highland Heather Ink to Whisper White Cardstock with Sponge Brayer
2. Use Aquapainter to drop water spots onto cardstock
3. Allow to dry or use Heat Tool to facilitate drying process
4. Stamp images/sentiments as desired
