“Happy Celebrations” for Retirement…and more!

Happy Celebrations!  It’s the name of the stamp set I used for this card and is exactly right to celebrate a customer and friend who recently retired.  The stamp set also has sentiments for celebrating birthdays, babies, and brides.

And this morning I am celebrating the return of power!  We were without power for about 36 hours after a storm devastated the area in and around Stevens Point, WI.  You can see photos of the storm damage here.  Thanks to the linemen who worked around the clock to restore power to our area.

We lost 2 trees to the storm but there was no damage to our house!  Thankfully we have a generator and my husband was able to alternate power to our refrigerator and freezer so that our food did not spoil!

Let me tell you…it’s dark in the house at night without any glow from digital clocks, cable box, etc.  The hardest thing was being without water during the time our power was off because we have a well and the pump to bring the water to the house is electric.

I had to cancel my Therapy Tuesday Card Class on June 13th because of the storm but have reschedule the class for Tuesday, June 20th at 1:30 PM.  If you are able to join me, please RSVP by Saturday, June 17th.
