Pals Blog Hop – “Cut it Out”

Pals Blog Hop Badge

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for August 2016.  We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are featuring projects using our favorite Stampin’ Up! cutting tools. There are so many wonderful punches, framelits and edgelits available that help make papercrafting more detailed and fun! We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

For my project I created a Fancy Fold card and featured the Flourish Thinlits and Classic Label Punch to do my cutting.  Here is my card when it is closed.

The top panel opens from the bottom up, like this.

Then the flower panel opens from right to left.  This is the card when it is completely opened.

Spinner Card with Shooting Star Stamp Set

Out of this World for Jack

I made this card for my grandson, Jack.  It looked like it was missing something so added the airplane that you see in the photo below.  So much better!  Sometimes you need to step away from a project and when you come back, it’s easy to see what needs to be changed.

Spinner Card with yellow airplane

Stamp Set – Shooting Star
Cardstock – Basic Black, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Ink – Basic Gray, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi

See the card in action when you watch the video below.  (the video was filmed before I added the airplane)
