Families First – April Pals Blog Hop

Pals2016badge-watermelon-150x150

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for April 2016.  We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are featuring projects that are all about our families. This is a great time of year to think about what to make for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or upcoming graduations. And, family vacations are just around the corner… how would you want to remember those special family moments? We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

___________________________________________________________________________________

I have been wanting to make a dry-erase project for a while now and the Families First theme was the motivation I needed to complete this project.  We all know how busy family life can be, and everyone looks for ways to keep schedules straight and leave notes for family members.

My project started with an 8 X 10″ picture frame.  I chose a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Typeset Specialty DSP and went to town decorating.  Once I had the page decorated so it was pleasing to me, I put it in the frame under the glass.

April Blog Hop - Families First Frame

Stamp Set – Enjoy the Little Things, Hello Life, Timeless Textures, Project Life This is the Life,
Cardstock – Bermuda Bay, Real Red, Whisper White, Typeset Specialty DSP
Ink – Bermuda Bay, Real Red, Sahara Sand
Accessories – 1″ Circle, Owl Builder,  and Hexagon Punches, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Hello You Thinlits, Big Shot, Precision Base Plate, Snail Adhesive, (non-Stampin’ Up! supplies: 8 X 10″ Picture Frame, Dry Erase Markers)

Now it is easy to write things on the glass with a dry erase marker; things such as the day’s schedule, reminders for upcoming events, or just write a note such as “gone to Post Office” and leave it on the counter for my husband to see.  When you want to change it, just wipe off the dry erase and start over!
